Pick_list example, the list pops up in one place regardless of where I put the entry box

• My hardware is compatible and my graphics drivers are up-to-date.

What happened?

Running Kubuntu LTS, up to date, the pick_list example: The pop-up list does not move, it always comes up at the same place no matter where I put the entry box.

NVidia graphics card, if it matters I will look it up

What is the expected behavior?

The popup should move to be attached to the pick box.
