Facilitate auditing by users

Before using this, I'd like to review the code, and I think all other users should too. It would be great if bootstrap was removed (there are almost 6800 lines of CSS code in the built file), and any other unnecessary code like support for ancient browsers (possibly forking the upstream code to do so which is no longer maintained anyway).
