Please consider hosting an official instance of Hoodik.

You can make it a paid only service were users can buy storage plans such as...

  • 5GB
  • 25GB
  • 50GB
  • 100GB
  • 250GB
  • 500GB
  • 1TB
  • 2TB
  • 5TB
  • 10TB

The profits made from this service can be used to pay for the infrastructure and also pay for the development of Hoodik itself!

I would like to suggest not charging users for certain features, but instead charge users for storage. This way a user who has a 5GB plan gets all the same feature as someone who has 10TB of storage.

I would suggest hosting the data in privacy friendly countries such as Switzerland, Iceland, Germany, etc and avoid countries that do not have good privacy and plan on or have banned E2EE like the US.

And allow uses to pay using cryptocurrencies!

Hi,
thanks for the suggestion. I will investigate this possibility and will create a way to do this. :)

Besides storage, the paid service will also have to charge for each upload/download.

This would discourage users new users.

I understand your logic, but any overhead cost for storage, uploads and downloads will need to be calculated into the total monthly price.
