As reported on the forum.

Full debug log from PPSSPP v0.9.8-494-gcf267ab Windows 64 bit: http://www.mediafire.com/download/pdl76iplpasp7n8/hammerinhero.rar

The game apparently uses its own font, so I don't think it's related to #2788.

I lack this game currently, so I'm unable to test it.
