Additional option to show only editors that meet the criteria (extensions) in the menu, so you if you have four programs with "txt" in the extension, just show these four and not all editors in the foreground menu.
It would be a third option to open a file

  • F4 = edit with first found
  • Esc & F4 = show entire foregound menu
  • something & F?? = show "filtered" menu (matching programs only)

Experiment, hard coded shortcut ESC+F1 to show filtered menu based on ext. of selected files.
📁 F4MiniMenu-Filtered-32.zip
📁 F4MiniMenu-Filtered2-32.zip
📁 F4MiniMenu-Filtered3-32.zip
📁 F4MiniMenu-Filtered4-32.zip

Show full menu if there are no matching editors, always show shortcut to full menu + option to set accelerator key (settings)
📁 F4MiniMenu-Filtered5-32.zip
