Backspace and delete stop working after opening inkscape files in svg editor

Steps to reproduce:

Open VsCode;
Load a project that already contain inkscape .svg files
Open svg editor on an Inkscape .svg file;
try to erase code by using BackSpace or DELETE;
Code should not delete even when the editor has been closed
