I've managed to get the_world defined, but it turns out it has a lot of conflicting dependencies and a fairly unstable API. Packages peace and chaos are mutually exclusive, and there's a recursive loop involving human_nature in the build process.

I'm aiming to have a working prototype for world domination by the next release candidate, v1.2025.4.1.8-rc1. Any input from engineers with experience resolving circular imports between politics and economics is welcome.

resolving circular imports between politics and economics is welcome.

For the former, I've found that deleting the politics package often works. It may also fix the following:

  • peace and chaos: peace would no longer be required.
  • human_nature: the species would exterminate itself.

A possible complication is that a species similar to humans may emerge, resulting in that package reappearing in the dependency tree.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, removing politics can yield performance improvements of up to 7000000%, i.e. 🚀 blazingly fast 🚀.

Research on computer algorithms in the presence of near light speed changes is still emerging and hence I cannot ascertain whether artificial delays would be necessary in lieu of politics.

I realized that dominating the world is pointless if the world dominates me.
What really should change is on my part. ✌

@bswck bswck closed this as not planned Won't fix, can't repro, duplicate, stale Apr 9, 2025
