Pytube3 vs Pytube

I'm confused about this repository. Is this just a fork of pytube or is this the next pytube?

Pytube seems to reference pytube3, its docs reference this Github, and I even install pytube with pytube3, but the other repository seems quite active. Am I missing something?

I believe any references to pytube3 from pytube is from a previous merge. This repo had an active maintainer when I needed it and all the bugs in pytube at the time were patched, so I used this version instead. Recently, the pytube maintainer nficano admited he didn't have the time to contribute to it any more. https://github.com/nficano/pytube/blob/master/README.md#call-for-successor

@hbmartin / @get-pytube should look into this request, although I don't know if they have the time for it either.
