Geany is open for custom languages, i.e. I can add extension and syntax highlighting for new languages. But I cannot see how to add --langdef and --regex-LANG options to ctags, so that it to tag them properly.
Well, ctags in installed at /usr/bin/ctags. As /usr/local/bin precedes /usr/bin in PATH, I could easily create a wrapper shell script there and the issue is solved. But it is not the most user friendly approach.

However, since I think not many people use the plugin as the same can be achieved with ProjectOrgaizer, I'm a bit lazy to implement custom options for the tag generation. So one option is to use the wrapper script as you suggest or you provide some patch to support custom options which I'll happily review :-)
