"This app is blocked" #358
Comments
Was a pretty quick search for me on Github: #335 (comment) Confirming that worked ^^ |
Thanks,. That does seem to have done the trick. FWIW, I got no results searching github issues for "This app is blocked" or "This app tried to access sensitive info in your Google Account". Can I also suggest that it would be helpful to do the following:

The -p option only works with the "less secure apps" box checked, but my organization is disabling that. Trying to get the OAuth instructions to work, but I am not seeing any place to "ADD USERS" when creating the API. Not sure if Google just updated the API and hid that away somewhere, but adding users as service accounts doesn't seem to work. |
Rather than "adding users" you should simply create password for the apps and use password authentification instead of Oauth. It worked for me. |
I'm sure this is a known issue but I couldn't find any trace of this error on github nor a workaround on the gmvault website.
After running
gmvault sync email@gmail.com
and pressingENTER
to open the browser I get the following error:This app is blocked
This app tried to access sensitive info in your Google Account. To keep your account safe, Google blocked this access.
