Hey thanks and congrats on the extension it is looking pretty good!

I feel like the potential for searching bookmarks / history is limited by the fact that you cannot open tabs in the background.
For example, when I need to find something in the history but not sure which was the page:

  • Pop the history, search and then open in the background many potential results (using the mouse wheel click).
  • This is possible because the focus is not set to the new tab, plus the globally available mouse wheel click on links.

Currently with the quickey search results, the only option is to open in a new tab and set the focus to it. With the option to restore the last query you can kind of keep opening more, but for me being able to open in the background from the same search results is way more efficient and comfortable. Overall I just use a lot the wheel click to open whatever in the background and I am missing it here.

Other suggestions I would consider are adding shorcuts to directly open the search for bookmarks / history.

Cheers

Thanks for the detailed feedback, @dimateos!

I'll need to take a look, but I'm not sure it's possible to open a new tab while keeping the menu open. I think when I've tried that in the past, Chrome would close the extension menu automatically.

I suppose some sort of selection mode could be supported, where you could pick the items to open and then open them all at once, but that's probably not as convenient.
