I'm not sure It should be a feature request or a bug.

I've always thought that I do search for an open tab, history or bookmark from all of my signed-in devices (mobile or desktop).
I'm pretty sure that I've seen this behavior but today it doesn't work.

And now I'm not sure it's never worked or it was removed or turned off.

So, could you add (or turn on?) the feature which can search through all of my signed-in devices?
In my opinion this feature doesn't have to load data immediately from other devices. For a better performance it would start searching a few seconds after stop typing.

Or if it is a bug I'll be very glad if you fix it.

QuicKey does ask for the Read and change your browsing history on all signed-in devices permission, but I've only used that to be able to search recently closed tabs and then restore them with full history. I haven't actually ever tried to see if it searches for tabs across all of your signed-in devices, though it may have, given that permission.

Do you think the behavior changed after the last release on 4/28? I didn't intentionally change anything around signed-in devices, but maybe a bug snuck in, or something about the permissions changed on Chrome's side.

As I said I'm not sure. Maybe I've just dreamt about that feature :-)
I can't check it now. I don't know how I may install previous version of QuicKey to check it (assuming it is possible).

But if you don't remember or haven't ever thought about it so probably I was wrong and the issue should be the Feature Request.
