Hi,

I just went through the setup and I was wondering about the wording:

Initializing project for REUSE.

What license is your project under? Provide the SPDX License Identifier.
To stop adding licenses, hit RETURN.
GPLv2

'GPLv2' is not a valid SPDX License Identifier.

Did you mean:
* GPL-2.0-only
* GPL-2.0-or-later

See <https://spdx.org/licenses/> for a list of valid SPDX License Identifiers.

What license is your project under? Provide the SPDX License Identifier.
To stop adding licenses, hit RETURN.
GPL-2.0-or-later

What other license is your project under? Provide the SPDX License Identifier.
To stop adding licenses, hit RETURN.

What is the name of the project?
extension-ai

What is the internet address of the project?
https://gitlab.com/inkscape/extras/extension-ai/

What is the name of the maintainer?
Nicco Kunzmann

What is the e-mail address of the maintainer?
niccokunzmann@rambler.ru

All done! Initializing now.

Downloading GPL-2.0-or-later

Creating .reuse/dep5

Initialization complete.

Then, it was complete.
So the thing is that I am the maintainer but not the copyright holder.

I would expect this:

What is the name of the copy right holder e.g. the maintainer?

Same with the email.

The reason is that I think, in the next steps of the tutorial the maintainer will be treated as the copyright holder.

I found this: https://reuse.software/faq/#copyright-holder-author
Maybe, this can be worded the same way.

Thanks for considering this issue. However, in the current form, this does not set the copyright holder anywhere but general information about "upstream" in the .reuse/dep5 file that is created, e.g.:

Upstream-Name: reuse
Upstream-Contact: Carmen Bianca Bakker <carmenbianca@fsfe.org>
Source: https://github.com/fsfe/reuse-tool

In the future, we may add a feature to define the default copyright holder or even license for a project, see #68 (comment). This may also appear in the reuse init command, and we should definitely not mix maintainers and copyright holders then.

I'll close this issue but please feel free to follow up on this if you think something needs to be fixed.
