Summary

My VS code commands are not working for salesforce. I have installed salesforce CLI and JDK too. added proxy, still having same issue

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. This is step 1. open VS code, type command >SFDX: Create project with manifest
  2. This is step 2. All steps should start with '1.' nothing happens after command

Expected result

the command should take me to the next step but not happening

Actual result

nothing happens after command is given

Salesforce Extension Version in VS Code: 62.13.0

Salesforce CLI Version: 62.13.0

OS and version: MS windows 11 pro and 10.0.22631 build 22631

VS Code version: 1.96.2

Most recent version of the extensions where this was working: 58 above

Latest: 62.14.1

We suggest you to update to the latest version of the Salesforce Extension Pack in the VSCode Extensions view and confirm that you're still seeing your issue.

Here's an example of a set of required info that will pass the validation:
Salesforce Extension Version in VS Code: 60.13.0
Salesforce CLI Version: @salesforce/cli/2.42.6 darwin-arm64 node-v18.18.2
OS and version: MacOS Sonoma 14.5
VS Code version: 1.89.1
Most recent version of the extensions where this was working: 60.11.0

A few more things to check:

  • Make sure you've provided detailed steps to reproduce your issue, as well as all error messages that you see.
    • A repository that clearly demonstrates the bug is ideal.
    • Error messages can be found in the Problems Tab, Output Tab, and from running Developer: Toggle Developer Tools in the command palette.
  • Make sure you've installed the latest version of the Salesforce Extension Pack for VSCode. (docs)
  • Search GitHub for existing related issues.

Hi the extension is auto updated, and still I am having same issue

Hi @thanujanavulurite , are you able to see the command SFDX: Create project with manifest in the dropdown menu when you type it in command palette? If so, are you able to see the next step, picking a template among Standard, Empty and Analytics after running the command?

Also please check out the output mentioned above and let us know if there is anything you could see.

Make sure you've provided detailed steps to reproduce your issue, as well as all error messages that you see.
A repository that clearly demonstrates the bug is ideal.
Error messages can be found in the Problems Tab, Output Tab, and from running Developer: Toggle Developer Tools in the command palette.

Hi, I am able to see the command SFDX: Create project with manifest in the dropdown menu when I type it in command palette. But it just doesn't take me to the next step and there is no result, if you notice the screenshot I shared, at bottom left, it is loading as 'Activating extensions..' but then it stops and nothing happens.

Please run "Developer: Toggle Developer Tools" and send us a screenshot of what's there, to check if there are any errors.
