Enhancement Request
The standardized context types in FDC3 are currently very limited. Extend the set of standardized types to include types for common entities, such as: Chart, Currency, DateRange, Indicator, Trade and Valuation. Also, enhance Position to provide a more complete type.
Submitted on behalf of the ChartIQ development team (@rbruckheimer)
Use Case:
Pricing charts are a very common use-case in finance and require a number of context types that are not currently standardized. Being able to share the desired configuration of chart would allow an application managing orders, positions or executions to specify the configuration of a chart that another application might plot. Such applications might also pass other data representing valuations, positions or trades that might be visualized alongside the pricing information.
The types required for this use-case may be re-used by a variety of other use-cases and application types and should represent a reasonable addition to the standard.
See linked PR for details of the proposed types
