Checkerboard effect on LiveFrost views in iOS 8 #22

I am in the process of building an app and up until this point have primarily been running it on iOS 7 which works great. However, when I run on iOS 8, I get this weird checkerboard effect. I'm running on an iPad, not an iPhone but would image it be the same. Has anyone else noticed this?

Could be something to do with the size of the blur kernel or resolution of the underlying image.

I haven't tested it on an iPhone running iOS 8 so perhaps the issues doesn't exist there. It seems to be present whether in 1x mode or 2x. The size is for iPhone, just running on iPad.

Wanted to circle back around and see if anyone has had a chance to test on iOS 8. The resolution on the image used doesn't seem to be the issue.

Issue is reproducible, iPad Air 2, iOS 8.3, iPhone 5, iOS 7.1
