Problem connecting to the network #642
Comments
You are supposed to backup the keystore right after the accounts have been created. |
I am not a specialist in this kind of things. But think that understand what are you telling. I have the keystore folder backuped and have even the backup of mist. The problem is that when put those at the ethereum folder nothing happened. Appear the screenshot above. My ether are supposed to be safe because of keystore backup I had. But my wallet don't work. This is the problem. If I understand well your answer. And thank you. |
@h2002al looking at your node's status at the top center of the Wallet-DApp there seems to be some problem with the communication with your node.
|
Thanks @luclu but I am not able to do such things. And I haven't do nothing to change backend. Are changed itself? Anyhow remain to wait to some more friendly variant of wallet. Unless someone told me exactly what must to do to change backend. |
@h2002al I just tried to replicate your issue. Please check your firewall settings as a active blocking firewall results in this behaviour. |
No sign of firewall when tried to open the wallet. Only lack of peers. As usually. At ethereum node is checked "Geth 1.3.6 (Go)" and this is not in bold like "Eth 1.2.4 (C++) Experimental" (which is NOT checked). Also the network is "Main Network". Seems that mine is not the problem above mentioned". |
Please try to run an external instance of geth by going to the resources/node/geth folder and start geth.exe. Afterwards start the Ethereum Wallet. |
Where can be found resources/node/geth folder? At the ethereum folder when is the keystore folder exist a "nodes" folder but that have nothing similar within. No file with such names there. |
This is the folder containing the Ethereum-Wallet.exe. |
Exactly the same behaviour. No changes. |
Could you please provide the logs as in https://github.com/ethereum/mist/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md? |
Cannot attach the log file from Mist folder @luclu. There are two and wanted to attach both but is not possible. What must to do? |
Please zip them. :) |
wallet version 0.7.3 |
@luclu There is an app with which I can chose to open the log file in order that be ziped and given here and that cannot allow the program to identify these? Or if you want I can give these with skype. |
@h2002al what is the resulting file-name? it should end with .zip - not .rar or similar. |
Please do the following:
|
Just paste the first and last ~30 lines. |
file 1
|
file 2

This looks good. Your logs indicate that your |
Yes my wallet is correct now. Was open, have imported a wallet contract and everything seems correct for the moment. But there is another problem (which is not only mine as I had read). Cannot be sent ether from the etherbase account because ask password. This account was build with the wallet and not by the users. So have no meaning to ask password in this case. |
That's great! |
I move it over here to keep it tidy:
Download geth and run it from the command-prompt with the specified command-line |
@h2002al just get rid of those: |
@luclu Don't work nothing. |
you need to |

Node type: eth
OS: windows
Network type: main
Mist version: 0.7.3
Since three days no connection because lack of peers. Tried all the option told at the release notes (not connected with DAO). Nothing. Then deleted the mist folder and the keystore folder and reinstalled again. Now are not shown even my ether (must be more than 500). Here the screenshot of the actual view.
Don't have other data because have deleted the old ones.
