Should #291 also be included?

We should test a wiki page per ERC on Ethereum Magicians forum (need to be a moderator or higher to create). This could be used for security and current implementations.

Crypto recovery spam on Ethereum Magicians needs to be addressed. Often a couple a day.

Summary

1. EIP Process Standardization

High-level overview of EIP - ERC - RIP repositories & standardization

  • @poojaranjan shared a presentation suggesting
    • RIP proposals be added as Type = Standard Track, Category = Core
    • EIP Template for each repo must contain "EIP Header Preamble" as described in EIP-1
    • Content of the proposal (aka EIP body) can be customized and added in template.md or github prefix_template.md at each GitHub repo.
    • A proposal, irrespective of the GitHub repo will follow the Status flow for standardization as described in EIP-1. However, moving from one status to another can be customized by repo editors. Add your comments here.
    • Update RIP Editors to EIP-1 and Reviewers sheet
    • Proposed Working Group based on GitHub repo
      • EIPs GitHub - Core
      • ERCs GitHub - Wallet, ERC
      • RIPs GitHub - RIP
    • Website Layout should remain same, just add RIP tab to include proposals
    • Governance of a repo can be managed by (Repo editors (EIP/ERC/RIP Editor + Editor Associate + Working Group Members / Reviewers). Inclusion of a proposal, status change discussion can be done on respective dev meetings/ GitHub repos.
    • Maintain EIP-1 as Purpose and Guideline documents. Add links to specific Meta EIP/ERC/RIP to refer to the community to learn more.
    • Worth following the recording.

Working Group

GitHub: https://github.com/eips-wg
Rendered: https://eips.fyi/

  • @SamWilsn shared a presentation to explain the Working Group Charter
  • Each Working group will have its own website, separate from the other. eg. https://core.eips.fyi
  • Each of them will have own template, rendering system
  • The webpage is envisioned to have proposals rendered based on Working Group
  • GitHub Repos are based on Working Group. Each WG will have one repo. eg. Wallet and ERC will own independent repos and not share one GitHub repo.
  • One category in repositories for each WG
  • Membership will be defined in the charter
  • For Q&A, follow recording.
  • @poojaranjan proposed to begin with 4 WG and circle back in 2-3 months
  • @xinbenlev volunteered to create ERC WG

Updates on ethereum/ERCs#1

  • PandaPip wasn't available to provide update
  • @SamWilsn loosen some of the eipw to merge PRs.

Web Page Rendering for EIP & ERC

  • Discussed eips.fyi and continuing the format of preIn sent eips.ethereum.org
  • We went overtime, to be continued discussing on ECH Discord.
