Author color is faded, although author still on page

You know this behavior, that the author color of a past author is faded.
Just know, I was disconnected from a pad, reconnected and typed something. And my author color was faded, although I am still on the page

This could be the same as or related to #717. In that case, author colours were faded for users not showing in the user list (normal), but the user was actually connected and could see and make changes to the text on the pad.
