Here is a thread to ask questions and discuss the general theory and idioms of Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy. No such thing as a silly question, we all have to start somewhere!

When learning BLE, I found Bluetooth Low Energy Fundamentals by Nordic Semi a great, informative training. It's quite hefty, stating "8-10 hours", itself.

In addition, I can come up with one learning to share:

The role of L2CAP protocol. It lies below the GATT things, and some examples are made solely with it. The thing is, it is not supported by Web Bluetooth API, so if you plan to go device <--> browser (as I did), L2CAP is "good to know" but cannot be used, directly. For native mobile apps, the story is different.
