Hello there @kookie1984! I know it kinda old question. Just checked, VDM uses "yt-dl.org" for processing the yt links. It seems the "yt-dl.org" responding with error code 451 Unavailable For Legal Reasons. This is the root cause, why you see 'Checking for updates' spinning forever.
