Notification Cound Badge Bug?

Hello there,

this is my first issue so please be merciful with me if I don't follow the worldwide recognized etiquette.

I use Synapse as an official Docker image and since day 1 I can observe that no matter what means I try to get the notification count badge to 0 or that it is completely hidden.

However, it seems that all messages are marked as read as soon as I use the function. However, the count badge does not change.

I would be happy if someone could help me with tips and tricks. This bug is still driving me crazy 🤯
