Decryption errors and login errors with OLM.BAD_ACCOUNT_KEY on Windows Desktop #1082
Comments
These are getting too common, raising for investigation
|
Looks like a keytar-related issue |
@benwal91 Does this keep happening even after restarts? |
Seems doing a restart one day and I believe I did a verify session when getting my phone app logged in, and it's working fine now. |
Another report of this has come in: reopening |
Another report linked (with logs). Common thread here is windows users; maybe we have sporadic keytar corruption/loss there. |
@k79e if you're still experiencing this issue, would you be able to supply some new debug logs? I can see we've added some extra logging to work out the issue in matrix-org/matrix-react-sdk#5057 but that happened after your last log submission |
element-hq/element-web#18584 is a possible duplicate, also contains a OLM.BAD_ACCOUNT_KEY |
@rxl881 is experiencing this so we have a repro-able case |
Sent a new log here. |
Hi, I logout and restart then app said something about. 2022-02-23 17:29:00 |
Description
After having an update when the software changed over. I was able to first view a user profile in a user list in either channel I'm in with no problem. Now I get the "Something went wrong" message.
Steps to reproduce
Updated from Riot to the new Element on Windows 10.
First was able to view profiles.
Restarted program and clear cache.
