Today we're doing a lot of manual testing at release time by spinning up VMs to check that our software is functioning as designed on Intel Mac, M1 Mac, Windows, and Linux. We would like to run our e2e tests in a cross-platform way, so we know that they are passing on these four platforms.
Why is this feature important?
The goal is to minimize the amount of manual work we need to do as part of our release process. This will make us nimbler and reduce the risk of embarrassing or severe issues going unnoticed until after a release is published.

Pushing this to later for the time being whilst focusing on other priorities. We’re not expecting many more releases before GA so will have to do these manually for those that we do do.
