Kibana version: master

The flyout in that open automatically in index pattern hides the add new index pattern button

I suggest moving the index pattern button to a place visible when the flyout is there

This button placement is standard across application home pages while the use of an Euiflyout in an empty state is not. It would be preferable to convert the flyout to an EuiEmptyPrompt. That prompt would contain the title and first paragraph.

As for the examples, they could remain in a flyout that is triggered by a link in the EuiEmptyPrompt that says something like "Show example patterns". Clicking the link would open a flyout where the title would be "Examples of index patterns" with the three examples remaining in the body.
