Describe the feature:
In the maps application in Kibana v7.0 it would be great if a map could be constrained to a certain geographical area. Zooming out to this range should constitute the lowest possible zoom level for this map.
Describe a specific use case for the feature:
An example would be a factory floor map with some surrounding context which we'd like to overlay with geo-enriched data (events, tools, work items).
In such a context the rest of the world is of no concern, so it's confusing that the user can zoom out to the complete world, and even beyond where she sees the factory multiple time (left, right, ends of globe projection in Maps).
Existing documentation such as https://www.elastic.co/blog/operational-analytics-with-elasticsearch-at-elasticon-2017-part-2 do not to provide this important bit of information/configuration, which is required to build convincing shop-floor products based on Kibana at the moment.
Any workaround to mimic such functionality would also be welcome.
