In order to build better targeting in our A/B testing experiments, Kibana needs to identify the user with extended user metadata like:

  • is_elastic_staff_owned: is the owner of the deployment an Elastician?
  • in_trial: is the owner of the deployment using a trial license on Cloud?
  • trial_end_date: When will/did the Cloud trial license expire?
  • has_data: false if there is no user data yet in the deployment.
