Manually create link on new tab page

Currently, when I open new tab and click on extension button, it shows notification "Current protocol (about:) is unsupported"
Would be nice in that case to show an input field to paste some long url into and get shlinked version
Because not all urls people need to short are opened tabs, and opening heavy shlink-app for such case looks like overkill

Hey! Thanks for your feedback and I appreciate the support! I think this is a great feature idea, but because I don't see this being a part of my workflow, I'm not very interested in adding it. There's also some confusion on manifest v3 right now, I'm very hesitant to add features in general until things are settled.
