- Change short and full version in docs/conf.py
- Check copyright date in docs/conf.py
- Update CHANGELOG.md, prepare text for GitHub release
- Commit changes and ensure that the commit passes tests
- Tag the release and push to GitHub
- Upload to pypitest:
