What is your perspective on the idea of incorporating support for Partytown JS into the plugin? Partytown is a library designed for lazy loading, aiding in the relocation of resource-intensive scripts to a web worker, consequently alleviating the burden on the main thread. (See: https://partytown.builder.io/google-tag-manager)
There is an existing proof of concept (POC) plugin available at https://github.com/rtCamp/wp-partytown, designed to introduce this functionality to WordPress.
Kind regards.
