Android Promise Location

Detect the current device location. Geofence a given location, Detect movement activities. Geocode back location to the name of the location

Features

  • Find the current location of device
  • Find Name of the location with specific coordinates
  • Activity recognition

Setup

build.gradle

     implementation 'com.github.android-promise:commons:1.0'
}

Initialization

Initialize Promise in your main application file, entry point

App.java
  ...
  @Override
  public void onCreate() {
    super.onCreate();
    Promise.init(this);
    ...
  }
  ...

Sample Location of current location

    @Override
  public void onMapReady(final GoogleMap googleMap) {
    this.googleMap = googleMap;
    PromiseLocation.with(this).location()
        .config(LocationParams.BEST_EFFORT).once().start(location -> runOnUiThread(() -> {
      locations.add(location);
      googleMap.clear();
