From the vLLM Slack:

I think we noticed that outlines has much faster single request compilation, but we still seem to build up latency when needing to compile multiple grammars at once under load. Is this because outlines 1. doesn't release the GIL and/or 2. doesn't have a threadpool for parallelizing compilation?
