Eric Streit writes:

From version 1.8.0, I cannot build my html any more.

It's a English/Chinese Pinyin/Chinese Hanzi document

I got this error:

FODC0002 I/O error reported by XML parser processing

https://cdn.docbook.org/release/xsltng/current/xslt/locale/cmn-Latn-pinyin.xml:

https://cdn.docbook.org/release/xsltng/current/xslt/locale/cmn-Latn-pinyin.xml. Caused by

https://cdn.docbook.org/release/xsltng/current/xslt/locale/cmn-Latn-pinyin.xml

Is there a way to get around this regression (for me)?

Turns out that prior to 1.8.0, the stylesheets only loaded three locales, and not any locales related to the language of the document. That was a bug. I fixed that, but carelessly didn't check if the requested locale actually exists. So an attempt to load cmn-Latin-pinyin fails because there is no such localization.

Will fix this in 1.11.2.
