Welcome to the RASPViewer wiki!

RASPViewer is derived from the work by the late Paul Scorer, still in production at http://www.rasp-uk.uk/.

This viewer has been rewritten to use the Leaflet API to replace the Google Maps API (too costly for a popular site due to Google's changed business model for their Maps API).

Other improvements/additions/modifications are (in random order):

  • An Animation button to fast forward the Time parameter, resulting in 'animated' overlays
  • removed the Archive feature (hosted disk space is too expensive)
  • removed the SkewT/XBL plot feature (too complex to setup on a VPS, seems to be broken on the UK site as well)
  • Added Dutch and German airspaces (TODO: Belgium, sorry guys...)
  • Added Dutch and German airports only waypoints (TODO: Belgium, sorry guys...)
  • Added stylesheets
  • Renamed from RASPtableGM to RASPViewer
  • Added https://stamen.com/work/maps-stamen-com/ "toner" and "terrain" overlays
  • Added a self hosted Open Street Map overlay

  • Add Belgium airspace and waypoints
  • GUI improvements for mobile devices
