I had a .clang-tidy file buried on some parent directories that somehow 'forced' to run clang-tidy, strangely I don't even have clang-tidy installed but ale still reports errors anyways? after that file is removed now ALE is quiet |

the only way to get rid of ale warning is to fully disable it, this is really strange
