How to use Apple's Siri (This feature is temporarily disabled)
- Creating a Webhook for the channel(s)
- Downloading the Siri Shortcuts
- Configuring the Siri Shortcuts
- Using the Siri shortcuts
Open up Discord and find the server with the channel that you want to send the messages via Siri to, then create a webhook to that channel
Then
Then after saving copy the webhook URL
Now go on your Apple device and make sure that the Allow Untrusted Shortcuts settings is enabled (This is found in Settings -> Shortcuts)
Then download and install the following shortcuts:
Click here to download the tv show Siri Shortcut
Click here to download the movie Siri Shortcut
Open the Siri Shortcut application and then click on the three little dots for the shortcut that you want to configure.
Once opened, you'll have to add your discord webhook to the "Get Contents of URL" action
After you're done it should look like this
You have one URL to configure in the movie shortcut, but three URL to configure in the tv show shortcut.
If you have changed the command or the command prefix for movie/tv in Discord, you will have to do additional configuration
In the "Get Content of URL" action, click on "Show More" and go into the "Request Body -> Content" section and change the prefix/command to what you have configured in Discord
Only change the prefix/command, changing anything else will break the shortcut
The first time you run either command, Siri will ask you to confirm that you want it to talk with Discord, simply press Yes/Ok, this will only happen the first time.
Press the Siri button on your device and then either say or type "Download Movie"
Then when Siri asks you for the movie, say/type the full name of the movie.
I highly recommend always also saying/typing the year that the movie was released, ex: The Matrix 1999, this greatly improves accuracy.
Press the Siri button on your device and then either say or type "Download Tv Show"
Then when Siri asks you for the tv show name, say/type the full name of the tv show.
Then say/select "All Seasons" to download all seasons, "Future Seasons" for future seasons or "One Season" for a specific season.
I highly recommend always also saying/typing the year that the tv show was released, ex: House 2004, this greatly improves accuracy.
