It also doesn't mention that WebSocket support was directly added to the Rocket server. |

The current documentation on websockets after 1.29.0 is a bit of a mess. The instructions say to set it all up on 3012, with a docker example exposing 3012, then after all that it says in a small note that 3012 is no longer needed. On the reverse proxies example page, it states right off the bat that 3012 is needed (and Default). Is this just a matter of updating all documentation to remove reference to 3012? It's no longer entirely clear what needs to be done as the documentation suggestions using Any clarity would be greatly appreciated. |

Well that isn't true. It doesn't start an other listener on the It actually starts a whole separate thread running thungstintie as a server to handle the requests. Messages are exchanged via MPSC between the threads. |

https://github.com/dani-garcia/vaultwarden/wiki/Enabling-WebSocket-notifications
It says "Note: The reason for this workaround is the lack of support for WebSockets from Rocket (though it's a planned feature), which forces us to launch a secondary server on a separate port."
I think it is not up do date because "it's a planned feature" links to rwf2/Rocket#90 which is closed
