Crash when deleting characters using uiStringInput

When creating a dummy file, if you move the cursor "off" the screen to the right, so that a < appears on the left, and then press right once more, so that there are at least 2 characters not being displayed, then repeatedly tap x to delete the spaces/chars, it deletes all the way up to the <, so that it looks like below.

If you then press x a few more times (it doesn't seem consistent), the app crashes and exits
