not working on ubuntu #8
Comments
Which version? |
14.04 LTS |
Is this using the Unity display system? |
yes quite possibly. |
Same on 16.04 LTS with Unity. |
It appears as though Unity restricts which icons can appear in the system tray. Previously it was a whitelist, but now the mechanism appears to have changed. On recent versions (14.x and 16.x), you can follow these instructions. It would be great if someone would submit a pull request that integrates with Unity's dock, but as someone who doesn't use Unity (and lacks the time to work on this right now) I won't be able to do it anytime soon. |
I've tried running the example on ubuntu. No errors, no icon, no nothing.
Any ideas?
