Invalid schema error_code: 42201 with JSON 2020-12 Draft

hello,
I get the following error when try to register JSON schema with 2020-12 Draft:

400 Bad Request
Invalid schema. Error from registry: {"error_code":42201,"message":"Invalid schema {subject=test,version=0,id=-1,schemaType=JSON,references=[],metadata=null,ruleSet=null,schema={\n\t\"$schema\": \"https://json-schema.org/draft/2020-12/schema\"... etc.

once I add # at the end of the schema uri, i.e. https://json-schema.org/draft/2020-12/schema# the schema is accepted.

According to JSON 2020-12 schema meta-schema there is no # at the end of the uri.

Is that expected or it's a bug?
Could you please point me to correct place where it's documented?

Is this with Confluent Platform or Confluent Cloud? If Confluent Platform, which version?

hello,

it seems the Schema Registry version was updated as I cannot reproduce the issue at the moment.
if you want to verify that further just let me know and I check what version we had when that error happened.
