The problem

As a user, it's not clear if this repo has any relationship to intake. Do they do the same thing, or do they have different goals? They seem very similar to me so a short section in the docs on their similarities or differences would be helpful I think.

Definition of "done"

  • Add short section to docs, "Relationship to intake"

Additional context

I was thinking about ESM data handling and whether intake has the same goals as this project, or whether intake would be something you might use as part of building a catalogue (i.e. bookshelf is sort of a simpler, less flexible, version of intake), or something else and I couldn't figure it out (probably because I don't know either project well enough). If the answer is, "They do basically the same thing, they just take different approaches, that would also be good to know."
