Dear all,

I'm contacting you because I've encountered a problem that I can't seem to solve.

A style I've created requires to have two groups in the bibliography for each reference, separated by a line break. To do this, I've defined the display of one as a block, which adds a line break before and after this group. The problem is that this line break is in addition to the one already added by Zotero to separate two references.

Is there a way of preventing two line breaks following each other? This would avoid adding an empty line.

I've already tried modifying the entry-spacing and line-spacing parameters but that's not enough, especially as line-spacing doesn't accept the value 0.

Thank you for your help.

Could you post a picture of what formatting you're looking to achieve?

Of course, here's a link with a screenshot showing my problem and what I'd like to get.

First, we see the quotes in the text.

Secondly, the bibliography generated in Word from the citations with carriage returns (linked to the display block) before and after the abbreviated reference followed by the full reference.

Thirdly, the same bibliography generated from Zotero where there are no carriage returns between each reference and therefore in the form I would like to obtain with the bibliography generated in Word from the citations.

In Word, it would be necessary to prevent the addition of a pilcrow ¶ before or after a carriage return ↵ if there is one.
