Get list of species for a region or location

To add species to an inventory, a list of species is displayed for selection. Currently, this list is limited to a preloaded set and restricted to of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). For it function universally, it needs to load a dynamic list based on the location or region where the user is.

The ebird API is an option to load a list of species by region or location.

How the region or location will be defined: manually or using the device location?
How this data will be persisted and reused?
