Hey I didn’t start looking into this yet. Mainly because I’m still on OS 7 since unfortunately elementary doesn’t have a supported upgrade process AFAIK and I don’t have the time or the mood to reinstall everything. This is one of the reasons I’m considering moving to Debian (and KDE) permanently.

Did anyone try to install the current release on OS 8? What kind of issues did you find?
I would like to get a rough idea of how much time I will have to dedicate to this.

Hi!

I've been using elementary 8 since its release. My suggestion is that it's best to stay on elementary 7 for now. For those who don't want to waste time trying to fix bugs, version 8 isn't ready to use yet! The main changes were more "invisible". You won't notice any significant difference from version 7 to 8. There are several recent bugs that are still pending resolution.

I've been using elementary OS since version '0.2' and I also make a monthly donation. But I've decided to migrate to fedora Workstation.

I hope the elementary team can overcome this and listen more to user feedback.
