For certain people (at least), it’s useful to know what their current duty status is, such as:

• On duty, on com
• On duty, on pager
• Off duty, on pager
• Out of service

ESD has this for tracking what’s up with people, would be good in our IMS. Let’s check in with ESD for a clue on what may work.

Also consider adding an expected change of status, as in “in a meeting, on pager for 60 minutes”, at which point the system can prompt the Operator to check whether status has changed, if not already notified.

To do this would probably require a tie-in to the DMS to track on-duty status.
