Is there a way to call the consumer.ResetPartitionOffset() function after having received a PartitionConsumer and expect this one to read from the selected offset?

@asdine unfortunately, it is not easy to do, at least not consistently. That's why I have started working on a new effort here - IBM/sarama#1099
