[Linux] Enabling Vulkan makes videos not render (white static image) #13284
Comments
@juxuanu im not sure if this is Brave specific issue. If I open Chrome and enable Vulkan, I can't even get Chrome to open after relaunching with Vulkan enabled. I think Vulkan is a work in progress and is not ready for prod yet. What I am trying to say is I don't think the issue belongs here. I think it is deeper than the brave team. |
It used to work fine a couple releases ago. If this bug in the Brave browser is not supposed to be here, please do tell me where to report and I will gladly report there. |
Hey I'm having exactly the same issue. Playback with Vulkan enabled, was working fine in previous versions. |
Upstream issue https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/2854 |
Same problem in Chrome 88. |
I have vulkan enabled on Thorium and with dark theme i get a white square behind the video but the progress bar takes half the video (its okay when in fullscreen) |
