Issue Description:
After updating to version 5.2.1, all basic settings were reset to default values. This includes:
Both API keys were deleted
Keyboard shortcuts were reset
Recording device (microphone) selection was cleared
Bitrate settings were changed to default
no more Autostart at login
Previous Behavior:
In earlier versions, updates preserved all user settings without any changes or overwrites.
Impact:
While experienced users can quickly reconfigure these settings (as I did), this could pose significant challenges for less experienced users. Although I have stored all APIs in mindMac for quick access, the complete reset of basic settings could be problematic for regular users.
Technical Note:
This appears to be a regression in v5.2.1's update process, as the preservation of user settings worked correctly in previous versions.
Request:
Please investigate why the update process is clearing all basic settings instead of preserving them as in previous versions.
