iOS 16 seems to have changed from mobilenotes: to notes: for the notes app

The notes: URI has been used for Lotus/IBM/HCL Notes for multiple decades, now even on iOS and Android with the nomad app in the AppStores. Now with iOS 16, Apple seems to have claimed that URI for their own notes app (formerly using mobilenotes:), leaving nomad fail with its device independent URI for the first time. I am interested in deeper information whether this is an act of conscious change or some defect caused by unwanted action. So if anybody is aware of more details to this topic, please share.
