Bug: Viewer Status Users can not see profile and get automatically logged out when clicking on "View profile"

After initially logging in with the automatically generated password, clicking on "View profile" leads to logging off. The following error messages appear, depending on the browser:

Internet Explorer:
“undefined” is not valid JSON

Mozilla Firefox:
JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

Currently, Viewer Status users cannot see their profile page because of the above error.
Check logic and either allow this or hide link.
